About Us

Morris County Dance Academy (MCDA) offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Acrobatics/Gymnastics. We are located at 5561 Berkshire Valley Road in Oak Ridge, NJ. The studio is conveniently nestled 5 minutes off Route 23 and 10 minutes from Route 15.

MCDA is now operating in its 12th year and 6th under the direction of Michelle Nardini, Owner, Director, and Dance Educator. Through continuous education from national and international workshops, seminars, she continues to grow as the creative force at MCDA. Bringing the most current information on health, current dance standards, and dance trends, she offers her dancers a fine and well-rounded dance education.

At MCDA, all dancers deserve the opportunity for a fulfilling and valuable dance education that includes excellent technical and creative training along with performance opportunities throughout the year. Each dancer is carefully placed into a class level based on experience, maturity, knowledge, and physical readiness. MCDA believes in more than just showing up to dance class. It is MCDA's goal to fill every dancers' heart with all the joys that dance can possibly bring.

MCDA follows and enforces a dress code to instill respect, discipline, and allow the dancer freedom of movement.

The MCDA dance troupe is a group of committed students that represent the studio and perform at national dance competitions.

We offer various payment options including monthlyj and bi-monthly, and offer discounts for paying the full year ahead of time. We accept credit card or check as payment and can set up automatic payments if requested. Tuition is normally due bi-monthly. Costume payment is broken in two payments due Oct. 1 and Nov. 1.

MCDA is a community-involved dance studio. We offer one dance-related performance field trip per year for the enjoyment of the entire family. Dance workshop field trips are available to dancers who have reached the formal III level. During April, the studio has many different fun activities while we celebrate "National Dance Week!" Some events include bring a friend to dance week and the annual studio sleepover. The annual recital is held in June to display what everyone has learned throughout the year. The closing dance is the MCDA tradition dance called "Dance to the Music."
